About Us

The "Ice Cream Run Committee, Inc." is a not-for-profit organization committed to helping seriously ill children. The event began in 1995 when Seyforth's 7-year-old daughter, Erin, told her father that a boy in her class had a rare form of cancer and she wondered if there was something that could be done to help him. Ever since then, on the last weekend of July, a motorcycle run takes place, raising more and more money for sick children each year.

The ICRC, Inc. has no paid personnel and all funding collected is through total donations solicited from area businesses, individuals and the donations collected from the benefit events. All proceeds raised by the ICRC, Inc. events are freely distributed to the families and hospitals chosen as recipients each year.

What has made our benefits so successful from the beginning has been the overwhelming support of the local community. There is no overhead involved in the events organized by the ICRC, Inc. All supplies, manpower, food and entertainment are provided completely by volunteer donations. All proceeds from the events are given directly to the recipients chosen each year. The donations of tremendous talent, goods, money, time and energy from area businesses and individuals have also made the events of the "run" not only worthwhile but enjoyable for everyone.
