Jan and Irv
Ray
Irv and I want to thank you
for all your hospitality while we were in Deposit. You did a fantastic job with
the Ice Cream Run and we thoroughly enjoyed the ride! What beautiful country,
although we couldn't believe the devastation the area has gone through.
Did you know, as we rode, a
bald eagle dipped over the road as we passed one of the areas of the reservoir?
What a sight! I'm sure he's looking down on all the residents and will help keep
up the spirit to rebuild and move forward.
We especially loved the
relaxation we found at the end of the day, at the Chestnut Inn. We made some new
friends there and hope to see them again. That place was the cherry on top of
the ice cream sundae, so to speak!!
Till next time...hugs to you
and all your people...Jan & Irv
P.S. Thanks again for the
beautiful flowers too--I'm still enjoying them here at home.

Tina and Dave
Hi Ray,
My husband, Dave and I were up to do the run on Saturday. I have to
say the weather was beautiful and the run was great. Of all the runs we have
done, we have never seen such a nice group, all getting along, helping each
other when needed, and the police escort was great. The stops were great
also.
The locals welcomed us with open arms. Hopefully it brought some joy after
what you all went through with the weather. We were amazed to see the after
mass and hear the stories of the flood. I could not imagine what people went
through. The only thing that was disappointing to us was the band at the
Deposit Firemen's Field. We could only stay there for about 15 mins.
Heavy metal
is not our thing. Maybe there could be thought of changing the music next
year? We talked to some people that stayed at the motel we were at and they
seemed to think the same. They said they attended the run in the past
and never
have you had that kind of music. Just an opinion, thought you might want to
know. Besides that we loved it. Hopefully we will be able to join you next
year.
